What do we do ?
 
This program involves research and institutional strengthening in order to create a research and policy network on Social Protection in the Asia region. The main purpose of this grant is to fund a set of activities that will: Support action and policy oriented research on Social Protection ideas, experiences and practices in the Asia region.  Activities
 

  Activities supported through this grant will include:

           Identification of a focused set of issues around which                     comparative or collaborative research can take place.

           Submission and selection of proposals for research and related              activities,seeking to achieve a balance in participants across the              countries where the Foundation works.

           Convening of a research design workshop and other technical              assistance activities as needed for the design and              implementation of the projects within a broadly comparative              framework.

           Organization of regional networking activities to ensure regular              communication and sharing among the participants as well as              other relevant institutions – including policy makers, donors and              civil society.

          Development of a communication strategy to ensure research              findings are widely disseminated and reach intended audiences              in effective ways.

           Identification and support for a core organization that could lead             and sustain the work after this phase of the program ends.
